Wonderful and nurturing preschool setting! The Big Barn Preschool welcomed my son with loving arms. The well-qualified staff knew how to make the transition from home care to daycare an extremely positive one for my whole family. Their true knowledge of young children and development was evident in everything they have done since our enrollment.
Their unique renovated “barn” building is beautifully laid out and child friendly. Since they are a small center, the feeling of a “warehouse for children” never entered my mind while searching for a center to send my son. I went to visit the preschool and as soon as I pulled on the property I knew this was anything but generic. I took a tour of the preschool and before the end of the tour I knew this was where our children should be. I knew this is what our children deserve and that this would enrich their lives instead of just housing them while we were at work.
I actually feel good about my children being in preschool for the first time. It no longer ways heavy on my shoulders. My children come home and excitedly tell us about their day. We have no trouble getting them out the door in the morning to go to preschool. I do not know how this school came up with their staff but I am very thankful they did.
We love The Big Barn Preschool! My son has been attending for 2 years. The teachers are dedicated, and providing a loving, nourishing, safe environment. I feel completely at ease, that my son is in their care.
The curriculum is excellent. Within 2 weeks, my son learned the alphabet. He sings many songs, learned to count well, learned to write his name in no time. They teach through gardening, cooking, etc. In the summer, they are outside playing with water, and sledding in winter. Highly recommended!
