Meet the Staff
Our well-qualified and experienced staff have great affection, knowledge, and understanding of young children. The teachers guide the boys and girls through a comfortable environment away from home. They assist the children in communicating successfully with others and developing a positive respect for themselves.

Bonnie Kasman, Director
I am very excited to be the Director of The Big Barn Preschool! I have been the  Director for  three months, and I have been working in Early Childhood Education for more then 20 years. I graduated from Western Illinois University with a BS in Early Childhood Education. I am married to a wonderful man, Jim. He helps out around The Big Barn Preschool frequently.  We have two children, Nicole, 15 and, Chris,12. I have some wonderful ideas for a great year so please call (847) 895-3257 or schedule a tour of the center.

Sheri Futris, Assistant Director, & Lead Teacher
I've been working at The Big Barn Preschool for almost two years. I have a Early Childhood Certificate and I have been a teacher and an Assistant Director for about 20 years. I am married to a great man, Tom, and have two children, Tyler and Chad. I enjoy working with children because not only is it fulfilling to watch them grow, you learn from them just as much.

Mary Margaret Warzynski, Lead Teacher
I have had a love of children since my baby brother was born and that was over half a century ago!  I grew up in Chicago and moved to Park Ridge, where my husband Mr. Jim and I raised our four children, one daughter and three sons. (We are also proud grandparents of 6 girls and 2 boys). I ran an in-home daycare for 25 years. When we moved to Schaumburg, about 6 years ago, I attended Harper College and received a Early Childhood Educator Certificate. I enjoy sharing the concept of good manners with the children. So much learning and growing happens when children think they are having fun! That is what my job is all about making learning enjoyable and positive.

Rachel Sprinkle, Lead Teacher
I am Miss Rachel the Preschool teacher.  I am working towards my Associates Degree at Harper College. I also have a  Medical Assistant Degree from Lakeland Medical and Dental Academy.  I have a son, Ryan and he has been attending The Big Barn Preschool for 2 years. He has had a wonderful experience and made many new friends.  I am engaged to a wonderful man named Mike.  I enjoy volunteering in the community and teaching and making dramatic play boxes for the classrooms (including the ice cream shop, animal hospital and the doctors office). I assist Big Barn Preschool by finding in school field trips and getting library books on weekly themes. I recently brought in a turtle; the children loved the science, habitat, food and care for the turtle. I look forward to helping your children reach their fullest potential while encouraging positive free play through exploring the world around them!
